Lab to Market Process reflects the overall research strategy and
goals of the specific research institution. A Research Program
Profile is prepared to identify the overall strategies, goals,
key players, number and type of projects, anticipated results,
and potential invention disclosures.At the heart of our approach
is the Research Process Framework that provides the ability to
readily classify research projects by the type of research and
the stage in the research project. In this manner, we are able
to build a common approach to better communicate with and among
collaborators around a set of clearly defined terms,processes
and deliverables. The ability to readily come to a common language
for researchers, research sponsors, innovators, entrepreneurs,
program managers and investors is critical. For example, Lab to
Market is defined as all of those internal and external activities
that deal with the discovery, invention, commercialization and
placement of an asset into the market to produce either economic
or social value.
